The Titians Start Spring League with a BANG! The Titans have moved up to the silver division for this years spring league and the competition is gonna be tough! The Titans opened up this spring with a very good team, The Foothill Storm. The Foothill Storm went undefeated this past fall season winning all 12 of their games. However, The Titans also went undefeated this past fall, so something had to give. The Foothill Storm started the game strong scoring a very quick goal 20 seconds into the game. That's all it took for the Titans to wake up and play one of their best games ever. 90 seconds later, The Titans answered the call. Spencer Thalmayer served up a beautiful corner kick from the right side, and our new striker Trevor Capestany finished it with a crushing head ball to the back of the net. After that, The Titans dominated possession of the ball, and lead countless attacks against Foothill's defense. The score remained 1-1 but with 3 minutes left and the field overloaded on the right side, center midfielder Steve Robles switched the field to a wide open Graham Wisner. Graham collected the ball on the left side, then while attacking the end-line played a beautiful backward diagonal pass to Brandt Dixon with Dixon finishing it off with a crushing one timer between the goalie's head and just under the crossbar for the go-ahead goal. Needless to say, this was one of the most exciting games The Titans have played! Way to go Titians! |
